At Evergreen Traders, we are deeply committed to supporting organizations that make a significant impact in our community. We are honored to contribute $1,000 to The Fredericton Homeless Shelters, an organization dedicated to providing safe and stable shelter to those experiencing homelessness in the Fredericton area.
The Fredericton Homeless Shelters operates multiple facilities, including St. John House, Grace House, and Brunswick Home transitional housing. These shelters offer more than just a place to sleep; they provide comprehensive support services aimed at helping individuals transition from crisis to stability and, ultimately, to permanent housing.
We met with Warren Maddox, executive director at The Shelters, who brought to light that no amount of money could 100% solve the issues our people face. That each story is deeply complex, and the steps to a brighter future are crafted through small transitional steps and an unquestionable trust and desire to help. We were moved with the stories Warren shared with us, stories of loss, perseverance and triumphs. He spoke about their perseverance to hold together through their own crisis like COVID-19, and how they were able to move forward, and continue to move forward with their additional housing units. We know that the people at The Shelter are a special kind of people; ones that have a profound initiative to help, to care, and a belief that anyone can come back from hardships and crisis.
We chose to support The Shelters through a mutual understanding of sudden hardship, our feelings are rooted in our daily interactions with individuals from all walks of life. We understand that financial hardships can affect anyone, and circumstances can change rapidly. By supporting The Fredericton Homeless Shelters, we aim to extend our commitment beyond our business operations and actively contribute to the well-being of our community members.
